What is Praat met je Boekhouding?

Praat met je Boekhouding is an MCP server (Model Context Protocol) that connects your Exact Online administration to the AI assistant you already use. Ask something like "which invoices are still open?" or "what was revenue last month?" and the AI pulls the answer live from Exact Online. The connector counts 114 tools across reading, syncing and optional writing, and is read-only by default.

There's no new app and no separate chat window on this site. The connection works in ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini and more than ten other platforms that support the MCP protocol.

Why do we build this?

Accounting data holds plenty of answers, but you usually have to log in, find the right report and filter it yourself. That question should be just as easy to ask as anything else you put to your AI assistant, with no new screen and no new app. Praat met je Boekhouding makes your accounting part of the conversation you're already having.

How does the connection work?

Three steps, no technical knowledge needed.

    You connect your Exact Online account through OAuth, directly with Exact Online. We never see your password.

    You add the connection to your AI assistant: ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or any other platform that supports MCP.

    You ask your question. It's read-only by default. Writing is available on Pro and Enterprise, only once you switch it on yourself per administration, with every action logged.
